Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the benefits of using a Be-Younger device?
Medical journals say EMS devices increase muscle mass and circulation. Increased muscle mass increases the body’s metabolism which in turn burns more calories. Also, increased muscle mass makes regular exercise, such as walking, easier. Blood circulation is an important part of your body’s overall function and health.
  • Recent articles claim that strong legs (particularly the quads) are likely to lead to longevity. Will usage of a Be-Younger device on the legs strengthen them?
EMS usage on any muscle group works to build any particular muscle. Placement of the Be-Younger device on the quads will build them up. Placement of the device on the hamstrings will build them up. Pictures of all placements are shown in ‘How to Use our Device’.
  • How do you put the device on?
The Be-Younger EMS device that has 6 sticky pads on it can be used on the stomach or on the legs as shown in the placement pictures of this site. The 2 sticky pad devices can be used on the arms or legs. Both devices rest on a plastic sheet to keep them moist and sticky. Peal the plastic sheet off to expose the sticky part. Then place the sticky part on the desired body part. After usage, reattach the sticky part on the plastic sheet.
  • Is Electrical Muscle Stimulation Painful?
EMS can be painful if the user increases the intensity of the device beyond what is comfortable for the user. It also can be painful if the sticky pads lose their adhesiveness and do not attach well to the body. The user will feel an unpleasant sting if this happens. The user should then replace one or more sticky pads with the available replacements (in the silver packages).
  • How long will the gel pads last?
The life of the gel pads is dependent on the level of usage both in terms of time used and the level of intensity of that usage. Very heavy usage will likely require a pad change once a month. Normal usage likely will require a pad change every three months.
  • How long will the device last?
The battery of the device is expected to last 190 hours of use at normal usage. At maximum intensity, it is likely only to last half that time. The leads on the pad wear out with handling and usage. Once the connections are impaired, a new device is necessary which should be 8 to 14 months.
  • How do you change the gel pads?
10 spare gel pads are included with the initial purchase (in 5 silver packets) Open a silver packet and take out one gel pad. It will have 2 plastic sheets. On the gel pad that needs replacement, take the plastic cover off. Put your your thumb on one of the corners of the bad gel pad and roll the gel pad over itself until it all comes off. Then, remove one of the plastic sheets on the new gel pad. Holding the plastic only, hold it above all the exposed electrical leads on the bare pad. Align the new gel pad with the outline of the bare pad. Then press the new gel pad down on the bare pad. Wait for about 20 seconds. The replacement process is completed.
  • Can the Be-Younger small EMS pads be used to relieve less and tension?
Yes, by activating muscle movement, circulation to the muscle is increased. This helps relax the muscle and relieve the pain. The user should put the pad on the muscle group needing attention. Adjust the intensity level to the point at which the user can feel the muscles moving. For minor aches, the 25-minute cycle should be fine. For major aches, 2 cycles should be enough. If the pain level increases with usage, the user should terminate usage and consult a doctor.
